They know a society of strong men would never have allowed what’s happening right now. That’s why they attacked masculinity first.

While I respect Kevin and I know he is speaking to on an issue, I have to disagree. First they came for our faith. Christianity was their first target and they started going after it over 100 years ago. I believe a strong Christian would not let what is happening to America take place. I believe they knew that and that is why they began attacking the bible back in 1890. My friend Patrick Wood describes the assault on the bible in his book Technocracy Rising. Wescott and Hort was the tip of the iceberg in attacking the very origin of the bible and questioning the validity of the translation. Confusion about the authenticity of the scriptures transcripts and then assaulting the authors of the only authentic English translation, the King James Version, were aimed at calling Christianity into question.

The same tactic has been used to disconnect America from it’s Christian and Biblical foundation. When we started believing there was no connection between the Mayflower Compact, the great Awakening and our Declaration of Independence and that the Constitution was written by deists and theists, we lost the soul of our Country, the United States of America.

Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia; Do by these Presents, solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid: And by Virtue hereof do enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions, and Officers, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general Good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due Submission and Obedience.” –Mayflower Compact November 11,1620 signed by forty-one of the principal men of the first band of Pilgrims, a platform of government known as the Compact, and which gave to these people the claim of being the first ” Signers” of this important instrument. This is the beginning of the Christian influence that impacted our Founders. The next piece in the timeline is the Great Awakening. Though it is traditionally identified as 1740 to 1742, there is evidence to suggest it began in the 1720’s and continued into the 1760’s. Theodore Frelinghuysen, Gilbert Tennent, Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield saw a country whose pulpits had succumbed to tickling ears and a doctrine called the “Halfway Covenant”. This doctrine was settled upon as a compromise to address the lukewarm spiritual condition in which America found itself 100 years after the Pilgrims had landed here. The Halfway Covenant would be likened today to the idea there are many paths that lead to heaven. Modern day ecumenicalism that embraces Islam, Hinduism and many paths to heaven would be likened to the Halfway Doctrine. It rejected the idea that one must have a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That the remission of sin was only accomplished by His death, resurrection and ascension and that His shed blood washes away all of our sin. The preaching of the aforementioned Pastors and the Great Awakening, reoriented the churches and Christians to the truth and brought back both intellectual and experiential conversion.  At our founding, though there were denominational differences in how certain religious practices were exercised, and certain Biblical doctrine emphasized, the pathway to salvation was clear. Jesus Christ was the way and the truth and the life and no one was saved from sin through any other means.

King George was a proponent of the divine rights of Kings. He believed in fact that he was God’s voice to man and the people in America were his servants without rights or recourse. The Americans had fled England in large part due to religious persecution. They had clearly established themselves as having an independent economy and a sense of national pride. They further were challenged by the Preachers in the Pulpits to ask whom shall they serve? King George who was usurping the position of the Creator or serve King Jesus, whom their ancestors just 150 years before had fled England to do. So they committed to write their Declaration of Independence:

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

They relied upon the protection of Divine Providence, God, because they were securing rights given to them by God and were following a biblical worldview. This is why there was a Black Robe Regiment and why they made those vows. The biblical values that they and many since have laid down their lives for and taken oaths to defend have now been reduced to “social issues”. They have been dismissed as unimportant, by saying things like, “Its the spending stupid”. Well if God was at the center of our nation then we would adhere to His truth.

Proverbs 22:1 A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold.
The rich and the poor meet together;
the Lord is the Maker of them all.
The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it.
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life.[a]

If were a acting like the Christian nation we were founded as we would not have a spending issue, a reputation issue or most all of our present issues both internationally or domestically. When we believe that man apart from God can fix this nation we have already lost. I interview influencers in every area of policy you can imagine, and all of them concede that if we do not get back to our Biblical Constitutional foundation there will be nothing for the rest of it to stand on.

As I have laid out above, our founders were challenged with this question. Whom will you serve? King George or King Jesus? The idea of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness rests on the bible. Unalienable rights granted by our Creator. It is God who has breathed life into our bodies and the very breath you breath is the gift of a loving God in spite of our rebellion. Liberty bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, His death, resurrection and ascension. We were slaves to sin and death with no chance to break free until God sent his Son who approached the cross with joy for the freedom He knew He was getting for us. Happiness, He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, the god who has given everything for life and godliness. The sufferings of this world are a temporary issue compared to the eternity that awaits us in His presence.

This is what our founders were breaking free from:

1 Samuel 8:11And he said, “This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots. 12He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers. 14And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants. 15He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage, and give it to his officers and servants. 16And he will take your male servants, your female servants, your finest [a]young men, and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17He will take a tenth of your sheep. And you will be his servants. 18And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day.”

They made that final commitment not just to one another but to the One who gave them breath, set them free and promised them everything that they would need for life. Joshua 1: 6Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall [a]divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 2 Peter 1: 3as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the [c]corruption that is in the world through lust.

We stand not on “social issues”, but on the very issues that have determined the rise and fall of nations for all of history. We stand on solid ground, the Rock, the Living Word, King Jesus. The enemies of this nation know that a hearts on fire for God people of Faith will not be defeated and they are doing all they can to silence us. The communists know what it takes to destroy this country and they don’t refer to them as merely “social issues”.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current
Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the
party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under
Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking
positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An
American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,
substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive,
meaningless art.”
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free
speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in
books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible
and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it
violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with
modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no
concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the
ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history
since the Communists took over.

We must reconnect the bible to our Constitution as our founders intended. It is up to us, “we the people” to resist the tyranny and the out of control usurpers at every level and to put forward people who have strong biblical principles and encouragement them not to be afraid. With God all things are possible and we must put Him back in all aspects of American life again. I have been watching old college and professional sports games and I was so encouraged when I saw that in 1969 the Rose Bowl and the Cotton Bowl were opened up with a prayer by Billy Graham. We can have that in America again and we should. Prayer before sporting events and in school, bible reading. With God all things are possible! If they were not I should not even be here.
