A Battle for the Soul of America a Call to Return to Her Roots

Becoming a Slave to Jesus Christ sets you free

 

In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, defender of the Faith, etc.:

Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith, and the honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one another; covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic; for our better ordering, and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.

In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth, 1620.

 

The battle in the streets is not about socialism or a Republic. It is not about big government versus limited government. The battle in the street is man versus God. The rewriting of history is to erase the very record that makes America a Christian nation.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Matthew  6:24“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

This is a spiritual battle but it is a battle against lies and deceit and against the principalities that are spreading those lies. It is a matter of deciding whom we will serve. Man wants to serve himself and believes he is a slave to no one. His selfish behaviors tell another story.  Romans 6:15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were [e]delivered. 18And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness [f]for holiness.

20For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit [g]to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the [h]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But sin is a slave master and sin only leads to destruction either of self or someone else. True freedom is found in becoming a slave to Christ. Romans 1:1Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God It is interesting that the argument today is about slavery because this is the devils deception, remember the temptations of Jesus.

Matthew 4:1Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” Satan attempted to cause Jesus to question His identity. “IF” you are who God says you are through Jesus Christ then why can’t you _________________Satisify your hunger, fulfil your desire, get what you want. He offered two views for Jesus to follow, 1) Deny who you are and thus lose the identity God has given you or 2) Use this power this identity in a perverted way to get what you want.

4But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Jesus turned Satan’s argument on its head by simply putting all of the weight of the question of identity or gifting or power back where it belonged in the hands of God. I will rely on the authority of God. John 5:19Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. John 8: 28Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift[m] up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” 30As He spoke these words, many believed in Him.

That is todays battle too. Where does all power and authority rest? Under whose orders do we as Christians march. Under whose orders do we as America march. Liberal historians have distorted American History and have caused us to question our heritage as a nation. They have made us believe a lie just as satan made Eve believe a lie in the garden. Asking did God really say? The confusion in the church is over the interpretation of the word of God being used and how one is supposed to understand it. It questions authorship, authenticity, the character of the men who wrote it and whether it is in fact the Word of God. It is a fancy way to get to “Did God really say?” This deception is the most original and yet it still seems to entrap us. Jesus operated under the authority of the all mighty Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God our Father by His acts of love. Look how satan calls into question both God’s promise as well as Jesus authority to act upon it.

5Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’

and,

  • ‘In theirhands they shall bear you up,
    Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”

7Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not [a]tempt the Lord your God.’ ” Now satan wants to challenge Jesus reliance on the Word of God since that was His first response. Jesus again turns the argument around and points back to the ultimate authority of the Father which had to make satan extremely angry since he had rebelled against that authority and ended up thrown out of heaven.

8Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

10Then Jesus said to him, [b]“Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Now satan makes his final pela attempting to offer Jesus something that He had come to take back anyway. Note that Jesus over and over and over again points to the authority of the Father rather than entering into an argument about His authority, He makes Himself subservient to His Father and declares His Father’s ultimate authority. This is a foretelling of Jesus statements in John where He said I can do nothing apart from my Father.

11Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Jesus mirrored obedience to His Father in overcoming these temptations and shows us that we overcome not by who we are but because we know who our God is. We are servants to Him. Acting on His authority and there is no greater. The spirit of rebellion is permeating our streets. Portland is on fire. Seattle is on fire. There are movements of rebellion across our country but they are rooted in cities which are controlled by a godless local authority.  Romans 1:28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29being filled with all unrighteousness, [l]sexual immorality, wickedness, [m]covetousness, [n]maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31[o]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, [p]unforgiving, unmerciful; 32who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

2 Corinthians 10:1Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. 2But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

 

Romans 5:1Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Acts 4:33 Great Grace was upon them) (Galatians 2:20 the Faith of the Son of God)(John 17  22And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:). 3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces [b]perseverance; 4and perseverance, [c]character; and character, hope. 5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Knowing who God is and Knowing how He operated we see every challenge as an opportunity to grow and to reach new levels of obedience and a future.)

6For when we were still without strength, [d]in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

This is the message of America that is rooted in hope both for now and eternity. Though it would seem we are battling flesh and blood, we are not. Ephesians 6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [b]wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Those warring against America and its founding and against the biblical foundation of this nation attempt to disarm us by saying that this is not a Christian nation, that it was not founded on a Godly foundation, that our founders were not godly men. But the real history reveals a different story. The writings of these men be lies their understanding and connection to the Mayflower compact. Therefore they attacked 1619 and put forth more lies. Because their master wants to pull up the roots of this nation which is God. Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith,  SO I give you Paul’s response:

Colosians 2:8Beware lest anyone [e]cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [f]bodily; 10and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [g]principality and power.

11In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body [h]of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14having wiped out the [i]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

America has fought its wars with an authority only seen by one other nation. We have fought against evil. We fought the first world war to push back against a totalitarian evil that still today attempts to overtake our nation. The Ottoman Empire which for over 400 years burned and murdered innocent Christians across Europe and the world, much as the remnants do today. In World War 2 it was the evil of Fascism and the holocaust. It was euthanasia and crude experiments and total deviance. It was an evil and it was God’s hand on the weather that brought about a successful D Day Victory. It is Gods hand that will ensure victory is indeed ours when we realize that we belong to God through our obedience to Jesus Christ and His faith working in us. That we are prepared for this battle and that we must engage in it. Begin in your prayers to pull down the enemies’ strongholds and structure. Simply ask the angels to destroy the principalities in your community that are exalting themselves above God and His Word. Then use your voice to callout the darkness and shine light upon it. Share the light and invite those in darkness to be set free.
