The Biden administration is using Americans’ tax dollars to fund the creation of “humanized mice” with aborted babies’ organs at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
CNS News reports the university operates a Humanized Mouse Core Laboratory, which implants cells and organs from aborted babies into mice that scientists across the country use in research projects.
The lab, which began in the early 1990s, provides “humanized mice” to about 70 UCLA scientists and an unspecified number of others across the U.S., according to the Washington Post. Most of these researchers receive money from the taxpayer-funded National Institutes of Health (NIH) for their experiments.
To make the “humanize mice,” scientists take tissue from aborted babies, often liver, thymus and bone marrow, and implant it into the rodent’s body to simulate the human immune system, according to CNS News.
One UCLA study, “Latency reversal plus natural killer cells diminish HIV reservoir in vivo,” published Jan. 10, 2022 in the journal Nature Communications, described more about how the mice are made, the report continues. “Humanized bone marrow liver thymus (BLT) mice were constructed by the UCLA humanized mouse core using techniques described previously,” the article states. “… pieces of fetal thymus and liver tissue were transplanted under the kidney capsule. Mice were then injected intravenously with 5 × 104 human fetal liver-derived CD34+ cells isolated by immunomagnetic separation.”
Researchers mentioned the NIH as a source of their funding.
Another article published in 2016 in “Propagating Humanized BLT Mice for the Study of Human Immunology and Immunotherapy,” explains more, “The humanized bone marrow-liver-thymus (BLT) mouse model harbors a nearly complete human immune system, therefore providing a powerful tool to study human immunology and immunotherapy.”
UCLA also provides “humanized mice” to other researchers funded by the National Institutes of Health, according to the report. CNS News identified three studies since 2020 that used humanized mice, funded by tax dollars under the Biden administration.
Similar unethical research with aborted baby body parts is happening across the U.S.
In 2021, Pro-Life San Francisco released documents it received from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) through a public documents request showing how UCSF is harvesting aborted babies’ genitalia and other organs for research.
That same year, David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, told Townhall that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases also gave $61 million to the University of Pittsburgh for scientific research, and some of that money funded gristly experiments involving aborted baby body parts being attached to mice and rats.
In one study, scientists used scalps from aborted babies between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy to create “humanized” mice and rats to study the human immune system. The researchers described it as “full-thickness human skin.” Along with their article, the researchers published photos of their experiment – horrific images that show tufts of babies’ hair growing on the rodents.
Under the Obama administration, at least $77 million tax dollars were spent on research projects that used aborted baby body parts, according to The Hill. The Trump administration cut off funding to the unethical research and created a new ethical advisory board to prevent further funding. However, the Biden administration quickly reversed the actions after President Joe Biden took office.
