Ephesians 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Ephesians 2
And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved; ) 6And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
6That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (dunamis: (miraculous) power, might, strength) 8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace (χάρις is used of “the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues”) given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10To the intent that now unto the principalities (rulers, magistrates) and powers (moral authority) in heavenly (in the heavenly sphere, the sphere of spiritual activities) places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
We are used by God not to make a show to evil, as God has already defeated evil in the heavenly realm. Jesus said I saw Satan fall from heaven. Isaiah 14 describes Satan’s defeat. NO! We are God’s Manifest Wisdom to those who God has given charge over heavenly realms. The Angelic and Heavenly beings. We are a message of encouragement and exhortation to the Kingdom of heaven because we are that Kingdoms Ambassadors having taken up residence in this far away land. Jesus Himself pronounced, “The Kingdom of Heaven IS at hand, REPENT!” Thus we know we are living in the Kingdom of heaven and we are its ambassadors. God does not tremble at darkness, nor stay awake worrying about their plans. THEY ARE DEFEATED!
11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 13Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
PRAY THIS
14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
